Alice H. (Ford) Cosman age 95 years died in the Maple Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on March 2, 1914; she was the daughter of the late John D. and Gertrude (Sparkes) Ford. She graduated from Malden High School with the class of 1932. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1955, moving from Malden, Massachusetts.
She worked as a secretary for the Town of Walpole's School Department in the Fisher Elementary School for 18 years, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of Lend a Hand, the Walpole Women's Club, the Republican Town Committee, and the Walpole Arts Council. She was also a member of the St. Agatha's Altar Guild at the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Walpole serving as the treasurer.
In addition, Mrs. Cosman volunteered her time at the Norwood Hospital.
Beloved wife of the late John A. Cosman. Loving mother of Susan A. Cosman of Walpole and Joanne E. and her husband Michael Crehan of Fairfield, CT. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly Crehan and Jeffrey Crehan. Sister of the late John Ford and the late Grace Todisco.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the Epiphany Episcopal Church 62 Front Street Walpole on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Terrace Hill Cemetery Walpole.
