Alice E. (McDavitt) Boudreau, age 83, passed away in the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on July 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Loretta (Glazebrook) McDavitt. She was raised in Walpole and graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1950.
After graduation, Alice took a position as an operator with the New England Telephone Company in Walpole. After marrying her husband, Joseph I. Boudreau, on September 11, 1955, she transitioned to the role of a homemaker to raise and care for her young family. Once her children were all in school, Alice returned to work as a school cafeteria worker in both the Bird Middle School and the Old Post Road School in Walpole and retired in 1994.
In her retirement, Alice enjoyed frequenting yard sales, blueberry picking, following the New England Sports Teams, and hosting parties in her back yard and screen house. Most of all, Alice cherished the time that she spent with her family. Hosting family parties was one of her favorite things to do, she loved to prepare food and baked good for them and playing cards following their meal. In her younger years she took her children to Brant Rock and Cape Cod and as she got older, she loved taking trips with her family to New Hampshire.
