Alfred J. Songin

Mr. Alfred J. "Frederick" Songin age 87 years died in the Golden Living Center in West Newton, on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Born in East Walpole, on April 10, 1922, the son of Paul G. and Lenora M. (Koslowski) Songin. He graduated from Walpole High School , entered into the United States Army and served his Country during World War II. Upon his return, he graduated from Boston College.

Mr. Songin was a real estate broker. He was a Sales Representative for the food service industry.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Donovan) Songin Loving father of Peggy Songin of Boston, A.J. Songin of Arlington and the late Dennis Songin. Brother of Walter Songin of Walpole, Harold Songin of East Walpole, the late Edward "Butch" Songin, the late Jennie Kunelius, the late Lenora Lincoln, the late Stella McCahill, and the late Helen McGrath. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, October 1, 2009, from 4pm to 7pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline, Massachusetts.
