Alfred John "Al" Kemmett, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Al is survived by his beloved wife, Michaela A. Brennan. Devoted son of the late Carol (Mooney) Kemmett and John Conroy. Loving brother of Debra Kemmett of Hyde Park, John Kemmett of California, the late Robert Kemmett, and the late Susan Elliot. Devoted son-in-law of Thomas P. and Mary J. Brennan of Walpole. Cherished uncle of Logan and Jaeleigh, and many nieces and nephews. Loving Pack Leader of Roscoe Francis & Buffy Tulla.
Al was raised in Hyde Park where he attended Boston Public Schools, and later settled in West Roxbury. As a self-taught mason, Al began his career at a young age, learning all aspects of masonry work. Al formed his own successful company and enjoyed completing all sorts of projects.
In his younger years, Al could be found cruising around in his corvette or playing golf with friends at their favorite course, George Wright. He looked forward to weekends away in Maine and frequenting restaurants with Michaela. He loved to show off his dance moves and buy people rounds. As a true New Englander, Al loved spending time at the beaches. No matter the temperature of the water, Al was always the first to jump in. Later on, Al looked forward to Friday night pizza nights where all discussions, especially politics, were never off the table. He was larger than life and loved people. Nothing made him happier than spreading his generousity and being around family.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Al's Life Celebration on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Al's Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole at 10:30 AM on Saturday February 26th. Interment will take place privately.
