Alexandra Marie “Alex” Curley, age 24, passed away unexpectedly in her East Walpole, Massachusetts home on Monday, February 3, 2020. Born in Brighton, Massachusetts on September 17, 1995, she was the daughter of James T. and Donna M. (Michaud) Curley. Alex spent her first year in Weymouth while her parents had a home built in East Walpole, where she attended Old Post Road Elementary School and Bird Middle School. As a young girl, Alex found a love for softball and enjoyed playing in the town leagues. Once she entered Walpole High School, she quickly found a spot on the Rebel’s Softball Team before graduating with the Class of 2014.
Alex’s love for children prompted her desire to become an elementary school teacher. Following her graduation from Walpole High, Alex began coursework at Massasoit Community College, taking classes to earn her teaching degree. Second to a career in teaching, Alex loved hair styling and makeup, working part-time at Claire’s at the Walpole Mall and at Ulta Beauty at Patriot Place in Foxborough.
Alex always felt at home on the beach and looked forward to her annual trip to Saint Martin in the Caribbean with her family. Back at home, she enjoyed lounging by the pool with her dogs by her side and was always ready to cheer for her beloved Boston Bruins as they took the ice, especially keeping an eye out for Brad Marchand. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family and friends.
Beloved daughter of James T. and Donna M. (Michaud) Curley.
Loving sister of Danielle L. Curley of East Walpole.
Cherished granddaughter of Marie (Marshall) Curley of Braintree and the late James Curley and the late Roland and Carol (Wojdag) Michaud.
