Alexander D. Morgan

Alexander D. Morgan, III age 78 years died in his Osterville home on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Alexander D. and Mary (Delaney) Morgan. Mr. Morgan graduated from Boston College with the class of 1952. He had been living in Osterville for the past 15 years moving there from Dedham.

He worked at Joseph H. Wheelock Company as a Wool Broker for 20 years and later worked at John Hancock.

Mr. Morgan was a member of the BC Club of Cape Cod and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 11 years.

He enjoyed gardening, the ocean, and travel.

Beloved husband of Marie H. (Hughes) Morgan. Loving father Mary Ellen and her husband Larry Morency of Dedham, Donald and his wife Paula Morgan of Wayland, David and his wife Sandi Morgan of AZ. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Samantha, and Sydney Morgan. Brother of Marie Maybury of TX, Anne O'Connor of Wellesley, and the late Carolyn Doyle. Brother in law of Archbishop Alfred C. Hughes of New Orleans, and Rev. Kenneth J. Hughes, S.J. of Cambridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Siena Church on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday, November 21, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Joseph's Cemetery.
