Albert Paul Gore, Jr. ("Paul"), age 78, died on December 26, 2013. He was the son of Albert P. Gore and Ida Buckley Gore of Brooklyn, New York.
He went into the seminary at age 13 until age 26. He obtained his B.A. in Philosophy at Holy Trinity Mission Seminary and his Masters degree in Comparative Literature at Harvard University. He taught English for many years at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts, beginning in 1968. He was closely associated with the LATCH program at Massasoit that provides assistance to students with disabilities and he remained a loyal friend and supporter of LATCH throughout his life. He lived in East Walpole, Massachusetts for many years but made frequent trips to Maine, including to Bar Harbor which was one of his favorite places. His life was enriched with many friends, his family, and his beloved dog Agnes.
He was predeceased by his brother William F. Gore of Portland, Maine. He is survived by his sister, Sr. Thomasmari Gore of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his sister in law, Barbara Gore of Portland, Maine; his nieces and nephews Paul and Colleen Gore of Gorham, Maine; Jim Gore and Laurel Weissman Gore of Eugene, Oregon; Lisa and Lee Bals of Portland, Maine; Daniel and Margret Gore of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; Cathy Gore and Tracy Hill of Portland, Maine; John and Renee Gore of Windham, Maine, and several great nieces and nephews.
Services will be a private family memorial. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
