After welcoming their son, Conrad, the young family settled in Allston, where they welcomed their second son, Ronald. In 1978, Albert went to work at International, baking for the Wonderbread label. He retired 10 years later in 1988 and in 2004, Albert and Helen settled into their new home in Framingham, Massachusetts.

As a young man, Albert enjoyed hunting in the Fall, fishing in the Spring, and camping in the Summer.
