Alan Carl Deveau

February 26, 1931 — November 24, 2007

Mr. Alan Carl Deveau age 76 years, died in his Walpole home on Saturday Evening, November 24th, 2007. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on February 26, 1931, the son of the late Reuben and Laura (Boudreau) Deveau. He graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1950, he attended Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Deveau entered the United States Navy and served his country on the USS Aucilla during the Korean Conflict.

Upon his return from the Navy he earned his Master Electrician License and worked for over 31 years at Kendall Mills in Walpole Center and later at Bird Machine Company in South Walpole for 5 years.

Mr. Deveau was a life long resident of Walpole and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5188 in Walpole and the Knights of Columbus Walpole Council 1319.

He loved boating and water skiing

Beloved husband of Theresa M. (Cyr) Deveau Loving father of Janet M. Roberts of Florida and Dianne L. and her husband Russell Clark of Attleboro Cherished grandfather of Jennifer A. Roberts of Florida Brother of Virginia DeCoste of Sharon also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, mostly of New Hampshire

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt. 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, November 29, 2007 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, November 28, 2007, from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Memorial donations may be made to: Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, MA 02062.
