Mrs. Agnes Virginia (Hobson) Keating age 77 years died in the Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, Brockton, Massachusetts on Tuesday Morning, March 30, 2010. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 27, 1933, the daughter of George and Margaret (Smith) Hobson, Jr. She graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph, then Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Dorchester. She was a Nurse at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. Mrs. Keating has been a registered nurse for all of her adult life and was the Nursing Supervisor at the Caritas Norwood Hospital for many years and had worked there for over 30 years.
She was on many committees at the Norwood Hospital , she was chairperson of the Supervisory Council, Member of the Levels of Practice Committee, Member of the Nurse Physician Patient Care Council, Chairperson of Nursing Reform, Chairperson of Rape Crisis Intervention Task Force, Member of Standards of Care Committee. For her town of Walpole she served as Chairperson of 766 Parent Advisory Council, which she helped to found. Representative Town Meeting Member, President and Vice President of Massachusetts Association for Children with Learning Disabilities, Member of the Norfolk County Office for Children. For herself she loved to garden, read, travel and she was an avid antique collector. The thing that brought her the most joy was her family; her husband, children and especially grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route #27) and Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 from 2pm to 6pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private.
