Adele J. Cooper

Adele J. (Colarossi) Cooper, age 84 years, died in the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 16, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Vanda Rose (Bernacca) Colarossi. She graduated from East Boston High School with the class of 1947. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1972, moving from Roslindale.

Adele worked for Rockwood, Inc in Walpole for 10 years as a bookkeeper.

She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, and swimming. She also enjoyed playing the piano, was an avid card player, and was an excellent cook.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Cooper. Loving mother of Daryl Smith and her husband Stephen of Walpole, Lynda Powers and her husband Patrick of Mansfield, and the late Gary Cooper. Cherished grandmother of Jessica Smith, Kristina Clifford, Stephen Smith, Jr., PJ Powers, Kayla Powers, and Kyle Cooper. Sister of Eleanor Colarossi of Westwood, the late Robert Colarossi and the late Anthony Colarossi.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Adele's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9-11AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
